NFL Betting – Take Advantage The Half Or Quarter Betting To Have Your Way
The most frustrating aspect of sports betting on a football game, is when the points spread selection that I choose is covering until the final minutes of the game, only for the other team to come back with a late surge and ruin the bet even though they don’t win anyways. Any player that has been around long enough knows how tough it is to get hit with a bad beat, and while there are no guarantees that they will never happen, there are options out there to help narrow the chances of these sorts of losses. The ability to bet on the single half or quarter in a game is an excellent tool for players that take it seriously, and with lines now available on most of the sites listed with the sportsbook reviews, it makes sense to take full advantage.
There are several reasons to bet on halves or quarters, with the most obvious being to play a trend. If a team is known for starting fast, but usually puts it on cruise control once they get a big enough lead, then it makes sense to bet on that team for the first half when they are still building that number. On the other hand, if a pay head favorite is trailing early on then it makes sense to go the opposite way, taking that team for the second half to cover, as they potentially make a comeback run. Half and quarter betting is also an excellent way to hedge bets, if you end up in a situation where you are on the wrong side of one of the instances, as well as to take advantages of key injuries within the game.
NFL Betting – It Makes Sense To Be Careful When Playing The NFL
When it comes to the NFL, it seems as though football fans seem to always have an argument. Whether it is about debating who the best quarterback of all-time is, or who the best wide receiver or team defense in the league is this year, there always seems to be lively debate surrounding professional football. However, for as much fun as the NFL can be for the pure fan, the excitement around the sport can also lead to some cocky sports betting action for those that think they know it all. Regardless of the sport there are going to be wins and losses for those that bet, and getting too excited when betting on football can lead to some big losses.
Whether it is the first game of the regular season or the Super Bowl, players should never bet more than they normally would on any single game, no matter how sure they are. While it could lead to some big gains in the short term, this game is built on monumental upsets, and being on the wrong side of one of them could lead to an irrecoverable fall. One of the biggest mistakes that players make is getting caught up with the hype and believing they no more than everyone else, and that could lead to the devastating blow. It is important to look ahead and take the knowledge that you have to project the future rather than get too caught up with the past, especially when it comes to the NFL, which the pay head bookies know is built on parity.
NFL Betting – Implementing The NFL 411 Betting System
When it comes to sports betting, every player is looking for an edge, and that is where following key trends and systems becomes an asset. One of the most popular systems when it comes to betting on the NFL is the 411 system, which takes in to account variables such as coaching, quarterback play, the rushing numbers, defense, and even the weather to give as accurate a projection of the game as possible. All of those factors are assigned a point value, and teams could be compared based on the point number they received in that comparison. The system was very successful in the early going, allowing its owner to charge as much as $5,000 to reveal just one pick, as it produced an incredible 70-percent success rate.
While the original creator of that system passed away, some of those that had been exposed to it were able to figure out which of the numbers were the most important in order to decipher what the system was, in order to follow it themselves. During the 2008-09 season, the 411 system posted an incredible 23-8 record, and through the last three years has gone 72-36-2. The concept of the system can be confusing and hard to figure out, but for those willing to gain an edge and beat the pay head bookies and their spreads, it is definitely worth the investment. Just be sure to find the original, and don’t get fooled by the imitation systems that are out there.
NFL Betting – Parlay Still Ranks As Most Popular NFL Option
With the NFL playoffs right around the corner, there may not be a better time to capitalize on the final weekend of NFL regular season football and build a massive parlay. While the money line games and individual bets will always get their share of the attention, the parlay bet is easily the most played type of wager when it comes to the NFL, as it gives players the chance to risk less money for a much bigger potential payout. While the easy opposing view to this idea would be to say that the addition of more games that need to come through makes it that much more difficult to win, the fact of the matter is that for those sports betting fans that seem to play the parlay the most, they have no real trouble winning, and winning big.
The most commonly played parlays are those on the spread listed by the pay head bookies for two or more games. While it makes sense not to list too many games in pursuit of a high payout since you are risking so much in the first place, the fact of the matter is that three or four spreads that appear to be good bets for players is more than enough to make a significant profit. At the same time, betting the eight or nine team spreads over the long run could result in a big profit as well, as all it takes is for one of those bets to hit in order to make a big score.
NFL Betting – Lynch Returns To Chicago Looking To Spoil Bears’ Playoff Hopes
While fans of the Chicago Bears were quick to criticize quarterback Jay Cutler after he was injured in the NFC Championship game last year, they definitely wish that they had him in the lineup right now after suffering three straight losses after Cutler was injured in a win over the San Diego Chargers. The Bears will continue to start Caleb Hanie rather than add a veteran free agent even though he has thrown just two touchdowns compared to three interception in his three NFL starts, and that could mean trouble as they return home to play the Seattle Seahawks.
Seattle Seahawks @ Chicago Bears (-3.5)
Sunday, 1:00 PM ET
Although they were never really in contention in the NFC, the Seahawks have rallied with consecutive wins and four victories in their last five to climb to 6-7, and will fight for the chance to finish at least .500 on the year. The key to Seattle’s success has began and ended with the play of running back Marshawn Lynch, who has rushed for 969 yards and nine touchdowns and spearheaded the Seahawks’ offense according to the pay head bookies. The Bears could have used Lynch last week, as with Matt Forte out, Marion Barber made a couple of key mistakes that really hurt the team in their loss to Denver. Barber will need to be much better to help Hanie out on the offense, but even then it’s a surprise that the Bears are labeled as sports betting favorites.
